  1. Thank you for the great video. I’m a Midwesterner in the Great Lakes area, been thinking of moving to the Anthem area after a vacation there back in 2014, stopped by the Outlet Store which my wife loved. I’m a former Arizona resident having lived in Sedona long time ago and I have been wanting to get back because I’m getting older and winter and weather here is really depressing plus I can’t breathe well in the humidity anymore. We are a family of four so I think Anthem would be a great fit for us. I’ve tried to soak up as much info as possible. Now just trying to find a job and I’m not sure AZ wants to hire out of state.
Great videos! Maybe you can do one about pets? I have three small dogs. I’m worried about snakes, scorpions and spiders harming them. It can’t be too had otherwise people wouldn’t live there.

  2. Of course, they have a moderate to high level of scorpions, so you should feel right at home! ; ) Re. winding streets, Del Webb was all about the traffic calming.

  3. Hey, Arizona Dreamz . . . thank you for spotlighting Anthem, Arizona.

    Excellent video!

  4. Great video. All Anthem appears to be missing is a little downtown area with mom & pop restaurants and shops. But it seems like the suburban downtowns are less common in the PHX valley then back east.

  5. Thanks for this video! My coworker’s father retired to Anthem, and my coworker says his dad loves it there. I should have requested this sooner…🙂

  6. TY for another great video. I served twice as an army nurse and being a vet, I’ll def be visiting Anthem to check out the memorial. The whole place looks so nice, clean, and well cared for.

    1. I agree. It is a very well kept, clean area. And they did a good job with the memorial in honor of veterans like yourself. Thanks for watching!

    1. Although the name “Del Webb” appears at the entrance of the community, Anthem is not an age-restricted (55+) community. Anthem is just the opposite: it is substantially oriented toward young families, and this shows with the number of outdoor amenities, including sports, nature-walking and organized family activities in the large community park. The median age in Anthem is 41 years.

However, Anthem does have its fair share of the 55+ folks, and this is probably due to the fact the community has a seasonal population boost of retired “snowbirds” during the cooler months from December through April. Similar to Carefree, Cave Creek, and Scottsdale — most of Anthem’s seasonal population comes from northern snowy places like Montana, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. There are many part-timers from Canada as well.

I don’t know the average prices of apartments in Anthem, but from what I’ve heard — the cost of an apartment is less on average than in other neighborhoods in the greater Phoenix area. This is definitely due to the “commute” from Anthem to central Phoenix (which was mentioned by the contributor of this video).
